Tysabri in UK

I read that Tysabri has again been approved for multiple sclerosis in the UK. While this controversial drug has risks, I applaud this - it puts the decision back in the hands of the doctors and patients where it belongs.

I know several people taking this drug and all have had very good experience. When it first arrived on the market several years ago, there were very high expectations. That came to an end when it was discovered several people developed a rare, potentially deadly infection after taking the drug in combination with other certain other drugs such as Avonex (another MS therapy).

People with MS have a limited number of options when deciding on treatment - I'm glad this one is now available again to those in the UK.
